All organisations need to comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 (HSWA), which was introduced to maintain minimum health & safety standards.

By law and employer has a duty to provide for their safety, the safety of their colleagues and the safety of anyone, including customers, who enter their premises. Staff and customers will normally assume that they are safe in the establishment.

This course provides both employers and employees general health & safety awareness training, and a basic understanding of requirements and legal obligations. COSHH awareness and Manual Handling are also briefly covered in this course.
