Slips, Trips and Falls in the Workplace

Slips in the workplace

Duration: 20 – 30 min

Slips, Trips, and Falls

Slips and trips are the biggest cause of injury to people at work, being responsible for 31% of workplace injuries in 2017/18.

The Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 requires employers to ensure that the work environment is as safe as reasonably possible for employees and customers/clients.

In addition to being responsible for almost a third of all workplace-related injuries, 3.9 million working days were lost in 2017/18 due to non-fatal workplace injuries. Therefore sufficient slips, trips and falls training for all employees should ensure that overall awareness is increased and accidents are avoided.
