Asbestos Awareness

E-Learning

20–30 min

BackgroundCourse Overview

According to the HSE, asbestos can be found in any building (such as schools, offices, factories and hospitals) built before 2000, and is the cause of around 5,000 deaths every year. Asbestos can also be found in up to 18 unique locations in an industrial property, and is present in millions of homes, businesses and public buildings.

When asbestos is accidentally disturbed or deliberately handled, it is potentially very hazardous to the health of the individual; so therefore employers and employees need to know its dangers and what to do upon the discovery of asbestos on company premises.

Effective asbestos awareness training will educate employees on how to avoid potential exposure through effective procedures and personal safety precautions, and what to do in the result of emergency asbestos exposure.
