Working at Height

E-Learning

20–30 min

BackgroundCourse Overview

From ladders to scaffolding guidance, there are many regulations in place to protect those working at heights – most notably in the construction sector. These regulations are designed to protect workers, and include providing sufficient training, increased safety precautions, and what the obligations and responsibilities of both employers and employees are when working at heights.

In the 5 year period between 2018/19 and 2022/23, falls from height were responsible for over a quarter of all workplace fatalities – an average of 35 fatal injuries a year. They were also responsible for 8% of non-fatal workplace injuries in 2022/23.

Working at Heights training will sufficiently educate your staff on the hazards and dangers of this type of work, reduce accidents and increase the overall safety of your workplace.

This Working at Heights online course aims to provide awareness and increased knowledge to employers and employees of the risks and hazards involved when working with ladders, scaffolding or other elevated surfaces.

This Working at Heights course includes legislation overview, risk assessment, and knowledge training on ladder types and how to use them safely.

Safesmart delivers Working at Heights training for your organisation through Smartlog – our comprehensive health & safety compliance software.
